ABOUT OUR NEW BALACLAVA STUDIO!
We are so excited to be able to share with our valued members more details around the relocation of our Balaclava studio!
We understand you may have several questions and will continue to update you as we know more!
Thank you for your ongoing support and loyalty over this transition - we can't wait to bring you on this exciting journey with us!
1. Will this new studio look and feel different to the current FitMiss Balaclava?
At Fit Miss, we love the positive, welcoming, and supportive community we’ve built, and that’s not changing! Our culture is what makes us special, and we’re committed to keeping that same empowering atmosphere in our new space.
That said, we’ve also taken this opportunity to upgrade the studio to make your experience even better:

More Space – The new studio is double the size, allowing us to add more classes and create a more spacious workout environment.

Brand New Equipment – All of our old equipment is being replaced with top-of-the-line, brand-new gear.

A Fresh New Look – The space has been newly renovated, creating a modern and motivating atmosphere.

Additional Services – We’re adding two consulting rooms to introduce valuable new services to support your health and fitness journey.
While the studio itself is improving, the heart of Fit Miss – our supportive community and commitment to empowering women through strength training – remains exactly the same. We can’t wait for you to experience it! 💜
2. Is my membership price going to change?
As a valued member of Fit Miss, we want to ensure you continue to receive a discounted membership rate as part of our community.
To reflect our brand-new facilities, additional equipment, and larger space, our membership price for all new members will increase to $40 per week for a gym & classes membership.
However, as a thank you for being part of Fit Miss, all current members will transition to our exclusive "Foundation Membership" rate of $35 per week, starting from July 1st. This ensures you continue to receive a special rate lower than new members.
You will receive a personalised letter with full details soon. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to chat with us in the studio! 😊
2. What is parking like and what are the public transport options?
What is parking like and what are the public transport options?
🚗 Parking Options:

Two-hour free parking is available along Octavia Street and nearby side streets.

Paid parking is available on St Kilda Road, but it is only enforced between 8 AM and 6 PM.

Limited underground parking is available on-site.

The Barkly Stop 31 tram stop is right outside the building, making it super easy to get to the studio via tram.
3. Is the class timetable going to change?
We recently surveyed our members, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive about our current class timetable! Because of this, there will be very few changes to class times or structures.
That said, we’re always looking to improve, so we’ll be incorporating some of your suggestions to make the timetable even better. This may include:
✔️ Offering a few more 45-minute classes for flexibility.
✔️ Introducing new class styles based on member interest.
Our goal is to keep the workouts you already love, while making small improvements to enhance your experience. Stay tuned for updates! 💜💪
4. I’m concerned the new premise might no longer be convenient for me, what should I do?
We understand that while we’ve carefully chosen a centrally located new studio, it may not be ideal for everyone. That said, Fit Miss offers a unique community and exercise experience that’s hard to find anywhere else, and we’d love for you to give the new space a try!
To make this transition easier, we’re offering flexible membership options, including:
✔️ A flexible cancellation option—if you try out the new studio and find the location doesn’t work for you, we’ll work with you to adjust your membership.
✔️ Access to our Malvern studio at 116 Glenferrie Road, Malvern, which may be a convenient alternative for some members. We offer flexible multi-site memberships at discounted rates for our existing members.

5. Do I need to do anything?
Nope! We’re taking care of everything behind the scenes so you can continue enjoying your workouts without any hassle. We’ll keep you updated as we get closer to the move, and you’ll receive all the details you need well in advance.
