Founder & Personal Trainer

After having a knee reconstruction at the age of 17 (after a basketball injury!) I was forced to spend 6 months in a gym for rehabilitation. 20 years later and I still haven’t left the gym!

I exercise because I love feeling strong! I love how empowered I feel after a great session! And I love that all those millions of thoughts swimming around my mind are silenced when I’m working out!

Changing careers from Chartered Accountant to Personal Trainer (and business owner) has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done! The member’s at FitMiss are so welcoming, encouraging and friendly! I am so lucky to be a part of this Club and love watching all of our member’s work towards being the best version of themselves!

Fave food: Nutella!!

Fave sport to play: Basketball (not going to let my height stop me haha!)

Fave sports to watch: AFL (go Bombers!) and NFL (go Packers!)

In my spare time I love to: Travel the world! Some of my favourites was hiking the Inca Trail in Peru, driving through the Rockies in Canada and riding on a camel’s back through the desert in Jordan (to our campsite)!

After studying health and PE in high school and learning the basics of nutrition and exercise I developed a love for trying to create the best version of myself with a holistic approach to health and I strive to help other people do the same!

With this baseline knowledge and my love for food I decided to study a bachelor of food and nutrition sciences and graduated in 2019 at Deakin University with distinction.

The culture at FitMiss is nothing like I've ever seen before! It truly is a place where women support women no matter what the goal is. There's something really special about being part of something so unique and I feel very lucky that I get to call FitMiss my workplace.

A little more about me:

* Fav food - porridge ( I could literally eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner and have done so on one or two occasions)

* Mad bombers supporter and love watching the footy

* In my spare time I love seeing my friends and family or can easily spend the day watching tv and eating plenty of snacks

* Love training upper body with shoulders being my favourite body part to train

I have been passionate about health and fitness for as long as I can remember. I grew up playing basketball and started lifting weights at the age of 16. I started working in the fitness industry in 2016 working as an outdoor mobile trainer before working at a large gym in business development and then progressing to head coach at one of their biggest clubs.

I am now so excited for the opportunity to be managing FitMiss Health Club Malvern. I love training and being around all the beautiful women there. The community feel is like no other! One step in the door and you feel so welcomed by everyone.

I am forever grateful for the opportunity to train and be surrounded by so many strong women. There is something so special about sharing a room with like-minded women who are all on the road to getting healthier, happier, stronger, fitter and more confident together.

A little more about me:

* Fav food: Hot chippies!!!!!

* Fav sport: I’m not a huge AFL fan but I do love going to watch games with friends for the atmosphere (not the game haha!)

* In my spare time I love to: Go travelling around the world, walking my dog (please show me pictures of your dog), and finding new restaurants and cafes eat/ drink with friends.

* Fav exercise: Bench press!

Personal Trainer - Balaclava

I was driven to start a career in the fitness industry after using fitness to overcome depression. Getting into fitness taught me not only that I should care for myself but that I’m worth caring for myself. I believe physical fitness is the foundation for everything and exercise isn’t just about doing the hardest workout possible, it’s about setting yourself up to feel as good as possible for life.

Here at FitMiss we have a unique safe environment, a strong community with friendships that extend beyond the gym. It is truly a space where anyone can open up about anything they're struggling with and find open hearts, compassion and support.

I’ve experienced many areas of the fitness industry from bodybuilding to older adults training and movement therapy. All areas have helped me understand how to adapt exercise to each person’s unique situation. If you have sore knees we don’t stop moving which will ultimately limit your movement through life, we figure out how to help you move with minimal or zero pain. Exercise is meant to fit you, not you having to meet a standard that doesn’t fit you.

A little more about me:

My Fave food: How can I choose!? Potatoes in any form is top tier.

In my spare time I love to: I love eating fun food home cooked or at restaurants, looking for interesting experiences around Melbourne.

I've been a fairly active person throughout my life, horse riding playing a big part in my teenage years. In my late 20's I noticed that my body was changing in ways that looked to be permanent if I didn't make some lifestyle changes and choices. So I joined FitMiss as a member that's where my love for all forms of fitness developed! It is a dream to now be actually working here in such supportive and nurturing environment!

I love to train hard and work up a sweat! One of my spare time activities is Vice Captain of a Cheer squad. It's a heap of fun and I like to bring that energy to my classes and 1 on 1 sessions. I want to be your Cheer Leader! Go Team You!! GRRR!

Fave Food: Cheese, Cheese, and Cheese. Followed by Cheesecake for dessert!

Spare Time: I love the vibrant Melbourne live music scene! Have even been a Go Go dancer for a few bands over the years. These days I'm more often shaking it in front of the stage then on it though!

Personal Trainer & Nutritionist-

I am on a mission to help women flex their self-love muscle, create a healthy relationship with food and their amazing bodies! I want to inspire them to truly enjoy working out and feeling strong. Living a healthy active lifestyle is supposed to be enjoyable and sustainable... it shouldn't feel like a chore!

I have been passionate about health and nutrition since a very young age which inspired me to study a bachelor of bio engineering in food and nutrition in Belgium. I realized how important a holistic approach is which includes mindfulness and movement too which inspired me to also become a personal trainer 12 year ago.

I am very grateful to be part of the team at Fitmiss. I honestly have never experienced a more empowering culture where women support each other so beautifully! Fitmiss is more than a gym, it is a community where we as women feel safe and supported on our fitness journeys regardless of what our goal or current fitness level is... and truly can enjoy the many benefits of a great workout!

A little more about me:

My Fav food – chocolate as a true Belgian :)

In my spare time I love to: spend time in nature with my hubby and two little ones.

Fave Exercise: Love training lower body with barbell squats being my fave!

Personal Trainer - Balaclava

I first began my journey studying a diploma in personal training and a Bachelor of science in Human Nutrition and Exercise Sports Science and have worked for 12 years as a strength and conditioning coach, writing articles in Women’s health and helping females improve their physical and mental wellbeing.

However, it wasn't until I discovered meditation, that I truly found my passion for holistic wellness.

Since then, I have travelled the world, studying in different ashrams, monasteries and with world renowned teachers. In addition to becoming a meditation teacher in India, I have also studied to be a qualified yoga teacher.

I’d say my approach to helping others is not only influenced by my formal education, but largely by my own life experiences. I have a deep passion for personal growth and I have always been driven by a desire to share with others the things that have benefited my own life.

Over my career I have helped many women overcome disordered eating, regain love for their bodies, understand themselves deeper and on top of that get fitter, stronger and healthier than they have ever been before.

As a coach I am dedicated to supporting my clients physically, emotionally and if they call for it spiritually, to help them step into their strongest, most authentic self.

Fave Food - Burgers

In my spare time I love to- Hang with my cats, having deep chats and planning my next overseas adventure.
